The 2005 Community Rail Day on the Derwent Valley Line 

Scenes from Community Rail Day, Saturday 14th May 2005, the first year of FDVL's existence. This was held as part of the Association of Community Rail Partnerships (ACoRP) National Community rail Event.

  Class 170 unit 170399 in Derwent Valley Mills special livery at Duffield. Originally built for Porterbrook Leasing as an additional unit in white for 'spot' hire to different Train Operators, it was initially leased to Anglia , then Central Trains, where it previously sported a pink 'Visit Birmingham' livery.
Anton Shone, Passenger Services Manager of the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, with 170399 behind at Duffield. The unit was renumbered 170309 and operated by TransPennine Express, and subsequently transferred to Chiltern Trains

Steam on the Ecclesbourne Valley - North London Railway Tank No. 27505 on the Wirksworth branch platform at Duffield. According to the Bluebell Railway site, 27505 arrived on the EVR on 6th May 2005 from Barrow Hill Shed where it had been on loan from the Bluebell, before returning to Sheffield Park on 22nd October of that year.
