Record Growth on the Derwent Valley Line

 

Usage of the Derby-Matlock service is booming with overall journeys up nearly 42% in the year from April 1st 2009 and March 31st 2010: Figures for individual stations are:

Over the two year period from April 2008, the growth has been 72%, well exceeding the Community Rail Partnership target of 50% growth by March 2011!

Also, the number of trains operating on time has risen from 83% in 2008 to 90% in 2009/10.
