13 Oct 09 - 2009 Annual General Meeting & Cromford Presentation


The 2009 AGM opened with Ian Ambrose, FDVL Chairman (left) presenting an Association of Community Rail Partnerships Award to Christopher Charlton, representing the Arkwright Society (right) for the redevelopment work at Cromford Station.




The AGM itself included:

* an update from Alastair Morley from the Derwent Valley Community Rail Partnership on strategy to build on the growth achieved so far by the new hourly service

* election of FDVL steering group for 2009 / 2010

* progress on consultation for the East Midlands Rail Utilisation Strategy. This represents Network Rail's vision for the East  Midlands area of the network from 2015 to 2019


The meeting finished with members questions to the East Midlands Trains representatives: Claire Ansley (Route Manager) and Jason Cocker (Acting Station Manager, Derby). Questions covered the completion of station works at Derby, the new December timetable, overloading of peak hour services, automatic ticket machine issues & Matlock Station Car Parking.
